To the congress!
We were finally chosen to show our project to the jury of the congress! I hope the like it... Anyway, we have worked hard to achieve our objectives. I attach the powerpoint which is going to 'help' us during the exposition. This way, you can go deeper in our project and take a look into the different localisations that harbor a defibrillator. Hiking in a safe way.
We have just 4 minutes to recover somebody who has suffered a cardiopulmonary arrest, so the victim will not have any sequels. However, urgency services from 112 last an average of 15 minutes to reach the victim localisation. That is why two classmates and me decided to design a hiking route where a victim of a cardiopulmonary arrest could be treated with a defibrillator DESA in less than 4 minutes, so some lives could de saved, according to the project "Cartagena Cardioprotegida" ("Cartagena cardioprotected") that the council of our city is developing. Our route, whihc is drawn in the map below, departs from Cartagena's Plaza de España and climbs Galeras. In this part of the journey, the defibrillator will be in 'Club Naval de Suboficiales'. Then, it goes down Galeras and leads to Fajardo, another mountain to climb (both less than 220 metres high). In case of a cardiopulmonary arrest, there is a DESA in the repair doors of Navantia. Finally, it climbs down Fajardo to go to 'Fuerte de Navidad', where another defibrillator will be located. To end the route, you just have to come back to the depart point, Plaza de España.
This is a project we made in order to participate in a congress which takes part in the UCAM university in Cartagena. We are looking forward to being selected for the congress, since it would be an awesome experience to show everybody our project, that could be really useful due to the environment of Cartagena, which encourages us to go hiking now that the spring has already come.

Travelling...
As I'm studying ITC (Informatic Technologies of Communication) I had to design a trip to Prague and draw a map of any other trip by using a tool offered by google maps (My Maps). So I decided to upload both projects here so that if anyone is interested to travel with me, you just have to contact me. 😏 I shall remind you that at the botton-right of this blog you can find my Twitter account as well as my google+ account. On the other hand, you have here a map drawn with My Maps and you have the information for a trip through Italy. The idea is to land on Rome and take off in Bolonia, and in the meantime visit the most important cities of the country: Rome, Florence, Verona and Venice. Roverway 2018
This weekend I went to Murcia in order to participate in a scout event to prepare ourselves for a bigger scout event: the Roverway. This is a meeting of scouts who are between 16-20 years old no matter their country. It helds every 2 years always in July, and this year it takes place in the Netherlands near of Amsterdam from 23rd July to 2nd August. So this weekend (17-18) the idea was to meet everybody together so we could know who are we travelling with, since from my scout group, for instance, there are only 7 of us, whereas more than 50 scouts in Murcia are participating in the Roverway. Besides, during the camp we will be organised in patrols (in my case platypus), which will be mixed with international patrols, so we are going to sleep and share experiences with, for example, british or weedish scouts!
This year Roverway's slogan is 'Opposites attract' (as it's shown below) because the idea is to join people from different countries all around Europe who are going to be pretty different among themselves. Take into account that Irish scouts will meet Turkish ones, and their respective culture is really different. The event will be organised in 2 parts: the first one is called 'paths' and it lasts the first 4 days of the Roverway. Every patrol is going to do a path or route with international patrols to discover the Netherlands and do some exercise as well as interesting activities. The path is previouly chosen by the patrols, and I'll tell you our favourite one so you can imagine who are more or less these paths. So we have decided to do a path called 'Pride in the south' where we are going to walk through the hills in the south of the Netherlands, play laser tag in the middle of the forest, explore some caverns, visit Maastritch and make rafting in a river. I'm reeeaaally looking forward to finishing the EBAU so I can live all these experiences!

Saint Valentine's day.
Happy St. Valentine's day to everyone who is in love with somebody. As usually, I'm alone, so I have enough time to research about the history of this day as well as some curious facts about it, since I don't have to spend the whole afternoon looking for a present to make my girlfriend happy. As you can see, I'm totally a hater of this day.
So, this holiday has origins in the Roman festival of Lupercalia, held in mid-February. The festival, which celebrated the coming of spring, included fertility rites and the pairing off of women with men by lottery. At the end of the 5th century, Pope Gelasius I replaced Lupercalia with St. Valentine’s Day. It came to be celebrated as a day of romance from about the 14th century. Formal messages, or valentines, appeared in the 1500s, and by the late 1700s commercially printed cards were being used. Valentines commonly depict Cupid, the Roman god of love, along with hearts. Traditional gifts include candy and flowers, particularly red roses, a symbol of beauty and love.
Saint Valentine's day is popular in almost every country in the world, and it is celebrated in several ways. In Philippines, for example, it is the most common wedding anniversary, and mass weddings of hundreds of couples at the same time are not uncommon on that date. My investigation project.
From September to October, I 've been researching and writing the project attached below for a special subject called 'Investigation'. It is in Spanish, but I encourage you to translate and read it because it's really interesting and I have worked hard to get the final project you have here:
Anyway, I'll sum up my project to catch your attention: The urea that is extracted from the urine of astronauts in interspace travels is not recycled in any way in the ships. That's why, thinking about a hypothetical human civilization on another planet, the urea could be used in order to originate nitrates that plants would use to accelerate their growth, among other improvements that these compounds provide. Thus, through the advice of two experts in the field of chemistry, three possible reactions have been established for this purpose: a hydrolysis of the urea to generate ammonia that is oxidized to obtain the desired nitrates; the same reaction, but using an enzyme, the urease, which speeds up the first stage of the process; and an acid-base reaction. However, these last two have been discarded since they are unviable in terms of the resources available in a space shift.
